We apply science to protect the sea

We are committed to making the data we collect every day in the field together with you public and validated by the scientific community. After four years of work, our efforts are bearing fruit and in 2023 we began publishing the first scientific articles, one of the most important tools for giving guidance to decision-making bodies on how to protect the sea, sea turtles and dolphins.

Scientific publications in international scientific journals:

Marisaldi et al. (2023) The area south of the Po River delta (Italy) is a hot spot for strandings of loggerhead sea turtles. Journal of the Marine Biological Association of the United Kingdom, Link alla pubblicazione (inglese)

A concrete help for marine fauna

Sea turtle rescue

We co-manage a first aid center where we provide first aid to turtles found in difficulty or caught accidentally

Monitoring and research at sea
